Meredith smiled at herself in the mirror, giddy at the sight of herself in her wedding dress. She had met Ryan at a wedding, and it was love at first sight. He quickly proposed and Meredith was sure nothing but happiness awaited. However, she was in for a shock—Ryan has only married her for her financial portfolio!

Oh,I am not sure what to say about this one.

****************SPOILERS**********************

This is a marriage for a convenient reason story. Meredith (naive, heart on
her sleeve) blurts out to a handsome, sexy coworker (I think he was a coworker?)
that her father owned shares in some electrical business,etc... (she was running off
at the mouth)...(that's great Meredith). The man makes up his mind to marry her to get
his hands on those shares (now worth thousands) and lovely Meredith falls in love with
him after the second date (!?!?) so,they marry and Meredith overhears a conversation
between hubby and a friend about the shares and how he sees Meredith as,"biddable"
So,the rest of the book is Meredith driving herself insane with thoughts of ...I love him..
I hate him...I love him...I hate him......I want a divorce...No,I love him.....I love his voice...
I hate him...He is a liar...I see him and go weak at the knees....But,I hate him and I love
him.

(LONG SIGH). I am not sure what to make of this Harlequin. The writing was not bad.
Some of the sentence wording was unusual. The story kept me both interested and
frustrated at the same time. I have never seen a female behave like Meredith.
F.Y.I. slight love making scene in the middle..might want to read others by this author
to see are they ALL like this one ?

Farewell to Love Harlequin comics eBook Jessica Steele Misuzu Sasaki Reviews

Nothing like a MOC marriage in trouble to start the day. Meredith fell in love at first sight and Ryan fell in love with the company shares she was babbling about while trying to get his attention.

The hasty marriage was doomed when Meredith finds out on her wedding day that her husband married her for her shares. From then on it was a back and forwards dance as she runs and he pursues. He was aided by the ill health of her elderly relatives and so was she as it gave her a perfect reason to avoid her new husband.

This is a sweet fairly lightweight read with a lovely ending and lots of grovelling.
Ryan Carlisle wants some shares of a company that no one knows where they are, at a lecture he meets a woman Meredith in an elevator, she tells him she is also interested in Eletronics, to prove it she tells him about the shares she has inherited.
He askes her out and she brings the shares to show him, but she let him know when she marries her husband will be the owner of the shares.
Ryan asks Meredith to marry him, and she is so much in love with him she can't believe he really wants to marry her.
So they are married, Meredith goes to the study to find her new husband and hears him tell someone he got the shares he was after, and a biddable beauty, but her would have married her if she looked like a horses rear end.
Meredith soon shows him she isn't a rug.She knocks a little since into him.
And so Ryan now has to prove himself, although Ryan thinks Meredith really only married him to get away from her over bearing uncle.
But Ryan finds he now wants Meredith as well as the shares and he put the shares back into her name to prove it.
Oh,I am not sure what to say about this one.
